You must be a current Shimna u3a member in order to take part in our Outings. This is essential to ensure that your participation in our activities is covered by u3a’s insurance.

Museum of the Ulster Aviation Society
This outing will be to the Ulster Aviation Society's Museum at the Maze near Hillsborough. Housed in two 1940’s hangars, the Ulster Aviation Society has around 50 aircraft, including a replica Spitfire and a Hawk Red Arrow. In addition to viewing the aircraft up close, it is possible to sit in the cockpits of many of the aircraft. There are also special interest rooms to acknowledge Northern Ireland’s connection with aviation.
Following the visit to the UAS, there will be free time in Hillsborough to shop, enjoy the gardens and architecture or simply to eat lunch in one of the many hostelries.
