The Walking Group is led by Beth Cairnduff, although the walk is sometimes taken by another member of the group.
Walks take place on the 2nd and 4th Friday of the month. Our walks are local and begin at 11.00am. They are usually over by 12.30 to 1.00pm. Murlough Nature Reserve, Tollymore, Castlewellan and Donard Forests are popular choices although we sometimes travel to other areas.
Although the walks are mainly on the flat, sturdy footwear is recommended. Please do not bring a dog on the walk.
Details of each walk, starting point and walking conditions are given in advance.
You must be a current Shimna u3a member in order to take part in our interest group activities. This is essential to ensure that your participation in our activities is covered by u3a’s insurance.
There is no need to advise the walk leader in advance if you wish to attend.
